JAVO BEVERAGE COMPANY SECURES NATIONWIDE SERVICE FOR ON-DEMAND COFFEES WITH BUNN®Alliance with BUNNserve® Gains a Service Network for Javo's Growing Customer Base.
SAN DIEGO, Mar 25, 2003 - /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ - Javo™ Beverage Company (OTC Bulletin Board: JAVO), a manufacturer of liquid coffee concentrates, extracts and beverages, today announced it has signed a national service agreement with BUNNserve®, the Springfield, Ill.-based equipment service operation and division of BUNN-O-MATIC®. The agreement sets forth how BUNN® will provide on-site technical services to Javo foodservice customers converting from traditional on-site brewing to dispensing fresh brewed coffee from Javo's liquid concentrates. The agreement coincides with BUNN's recent introduction of the LCA-1 and LCC-2 on-demand coffee dispensers.
The key element of the Javo-BUNN® agreement is the access Javo customers will gain to BUNNserve®, BUNN's national equipment service network. Each of the 425 technical service teams spread throughout the U.S. will handle service dispatch, equipment installation, preventive maintenance, warranty processing and asset management for Javo customers.
BUNNserve® will be a boost for Javo as it continues the roll-out of its convenient and cost effective On-Demand Coffee System. Liquid or "on-demand" coffee systems eliminate the hassle of brewing coffee for large groups, as well as, the waste associated with stale or burned coffee. Currently, foodservice operators using on-demand systems represent a fraction of the $20 billion wholesale coffee market. Industry analysts, however, have estimated that the conversion to dispensed coffee systems from traditional on-site coffee brewing could reach 10 percent in the next five years. Javo looks to capitalize on this trend with a coffee solution that makes serving a cup of fresh brewed premium coffee as easy to prepare and serve as other dispensed beverages. Javo's products compete in this growing market with liquid coffee offerings from Douwe Egberts, a division of Sara Lee Corporation, Nestle USA owned by Nestle S.A. of Vevey, Switzerland and Vitality Beverages, Inc.
