New Brewing Facility in North San Diego County to Supply National Expansion of Premium Coffee
SAN DIEGO, August 13, 2002 - Javo Beverage Company, manufacturer of coffee concentrates, extracts and beverages, today announced its plans to relocate to North San Diego County. The move will take Javo, formerly known as La Jolla Fresh Squeezed Coffee Company (LJCC OTCBB), to the City of Vista, Calif., approximately 20 miles north of its current operations. The new, 40,000-square-foot plant will house the company's proprietary cold brewing extractors that when fully built-out will have the capability of producing two million gallons of premium coffee concentrate per year. In addition to manufacturing, the property will also serve as the company's headquarters and administrative offices.
"The foundation on which our company is built - the Corey family coffee tradition - has deep roots in San Diego," said Cody C. Ashwell, Javo Beverage Company Chairman and CEO. "As such, we are committed to growing our company in North San Diego County - one of the finest places to live and work in the country. This move demonstrates our commitment to the region and to our employees. We are happy that we will not lose a single employee during the relocation process."
The expansion of Javo's facility is the result of growing demand for the company's line of premium coffee concentrates, extracts and beverages. The company has steadily increased its network of distribution partners in the United States, recently with Better Beverage in California, Jewel Beverage in Arizona and others.
"More and more restaurant operators are converting from brewing roast and ground coffee to Javo's on-demand system, which makes serving fresh, great tasting coffee as easy to prepare and serve as a fountain drink," said Gary A. Lillian, president of Javo Beverage Company. "This new facility will help ensure that we keep our promise of high quality coffee and service as we grow."
Javo is scheduled to open its new headquarters and manufacturing facility located at 1311 Specialty Drive, Vista, Calif., 90283 on September 30, 2002.
